Kildare Language Centre is URGENTLY recruiting an activities coordinator in LEIXLIP, CO. KILDARE to join our team in a temporary role from 1st July to 19th July.
KLC runs a language programme for international teenagers in the month of July, organising English classes, homestay accommodation and activities.
This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic candidate, who is interested in working in a busy environment as part of a small team.
We are looking for an individual who has creative ideas and can contribute to the team in a progressive and positive way, by improving our activity programme to deliver an excellent programme within budget.
DATES: 1st July to 19th July inclusive
LOCATION: Leixlip, Co. Kildare
DETAILS: Short-term part-time temporary contract
TIMETABLE: Monday to Saturday
Monday to Friday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. approximately
Wednesday: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. approximately
Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. approximately
Roles and Responsibilities
Improve and develop a social activity programme appropriate to the ages of our students.
Coordinate all activities, ensuring resources are available to ensure a high-quality delivery of the activity programmes.
Accompany students on all activities.
Manage external activity providers.
Responsible for the activity roster and activity leaders.
Motivate staff and students to participate fully in all activities.
Be responsible for the safety and welfare of the students and deal with any issues that may arise.
Liaise with Spanish leaders.
Control expenditure, organising receipts for activities.
Lock-up school / halls when in-house activities take place.
The activities coordinator will be in regular contact with the Administrative Coordinator and Director.

Ability to engage with teenagers easily
Professional and friendly manner
Knowledgeable about Dublin and local areas
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Tourism, Business, Communications, Marketing)
Experience working with teenagers
Experience in a similar role
First Aid Qualification
